Responsive Websites

trepoly_responsiveWebsitesThe Internet has come a long way since its conception in the mid 20th century. Contrary to popular belief, Al Gore is not responsible for its invention. Right now, there are about 7.3 BILLION people on the planet—and counting! Just under half of that population use the Internet.

Part of what we do here at Trepoly is focus on developing responsive websites. There is a wide breadth of devices connected to the internet. 80% of users of the Internet access it with a smartphone. Every day, people all over the world use their smartphones to access information such as the weekly weather forecast, to stay connected with friends and family with social media, and to shop!

Desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, personal-on-demand digital music players, and now even wristwatches are commonplace when it comes to surfing the web. In addition, each device capable of accessing the web does so with a variety of different web browsers running on a plethora of operating systems. This means that there are myriad combinations of how that web content will be rendered on screen.

Responsive websites are fluid. The content flows smoothly, taking on the shape of its container.  Having a responsive website means that a user can access and easily navigate your website with ease. This helps enable users to quickly find exactly what they want with the click of a mouse, or the tap of a finger.
